Astronomy and Cosmology obtain most of their data from the light coming from the stars. To gain an understanding on the physics relevant in the process of galaxy formation we rely on data obtained thanks to computer simulations of galaxy formation and evolution. One of the most fruitful approaches is the known as N-body simulations. State-of-the-art N-body simulations of galaxy encounters leading to the formation of Elliptical galaxies are reviewed. The results from these simulations present new challenges to some of the popular formation and evolution scenarios for Elliptical galaxies.
