Two tektite samples, one bediasite and the other moldavite, are analyzed in order to determine if Muoug Nong type tektites exist in strewn fields other than the Australasian. The origin and characteristics of Muoug Nong type tektites are discussed and the criteria for distinguishing between Muoug Nong type tektites from splash-type tektites are given. The chemical abundances and trace element data for the bediasite and moldavite tektite samples are described. The analysis reveals that there is no correlation between the samples and the Muoug Nong type tektites, and no relationship between Muoug Nong and splash-type tektites has been established.
