Data obtained during the ISM experiment, an imaging spectrometer experiment in the near-infrared spectral range (0.8-3.15 microns) flown on board Phobos 1 and 2 missions to Mars, are examined with particular reference to the Syrtis Major and Isidis Planitiae session. A sample of data and results which can be achieved by studying spectral reflectance are presented. The data processing methods used in the experiment are discussed.
