Scientific paper

The seminar concentrated on Fourier spectroscopy, Hadamard, SIMS, and other techniques, as well as data handling and processing techniques, and off-the-shelf and special instrumentation. Papers were presented on high-resolution Fourier transform spectroscopy from the South Pole, a balloon-borne Fourier spectrometer using a focal plane detector array, the use of curved slits to increase the throughput of a Hadamard spectrometer, and background suppression and spectral detection using double-beam interferometry. Other papers include: interferometer design and data handling in a high-vibration environment, phase correction techniques in Fourier transform-infrared, optimization of detector-preamplifier for cryogenic spectrometry, and a rocket-borne cryogenic Michelson interferometer.
