We present results from Chandra and XMM-Newton observations of the low-ionization broad absorption line (LoBAL) quasar H 1413+117 (Cloverleaf quasar). Our spatial and spectral analysis confirm a microlensing event in one of the images. Based on the microlensing interpretation we estimate that the size-scale of the Fe emission region in this quasar is of the order of 10 rg. Our analysis of the combined Chandra spectrum of the images indicates the presence of two Fe emission lines at rest-frame energies of 5.4 keV and 6.3 keV and detected at the >97% and >99% confidence levels, respectively. The Fe Ka emission in the Cloverleaf quasar is fit well with an accretion disk-line model. Another possible interpretation of the Fe emission is fluorescent Fe emission from the back-side of the wind. The deep Chandra observation of H 1413+117 has also revealed several remarkable absorption features. The spectra of images C and D show significant high-energy broad absorption lines that extend up to rest-frame energies of 9 keV and 15 keV, respectively. We investigate several plausible scenarios to explain the spectral differences between the images.
