We present deep images of eight planetary nebulae in the light of Hα and [OIII], revealing several previously undetected halos. Based on this new evidence for multiple ejections from the planetary nebula nucleus, we comment on the evolutionary history of these sources. Furthermore, we discuss the ejection mechanisms which generate shells with differing geometric configurations for a single planetary nebula. Finally, by comparing the brightness distributions for the two emission lines, we report on the ionization structure of the nebulae surveyed.
