Since the first experiment with Multiple Object Spectroscopy (MOS - see The Messenger 41, September 1985) made on EFOSC, the announced new facility called PUMA 2 has been implemented. This is a small, computercontrolled punching machine with which the observer (on the site and during his own run) can make the aperture masks he or she needs.
