An interrupt driven multinode data acquisition and control system has
been developed for the 4-element gamma-ray telescope array, TACTIC.
Computer networking technology and the CAMAC bus have been integrated to
develop this icon-based, userfriendly failsafe system. The paper
describes the salient features of the system.
