In the past few years a number of radiation hydrodynamic models of the convective epoch of core collapse supernovae have been carried out in which the effects of the convection have been analyzed. The vast majority of these models have untilized the gray approximation for neutrino transport which relies on the a priori knowledge of the neutrino distribution function. Several recent studies have either employed, or emphasized the need for, the multigroup approximation which does not require any assumptions about the spectral properties of the neutrinos. We will present results relevant to both 1-D and 2-D multigroup models of the convective epoch. We will present comparisons of 1-D Lagrangean and Eulerian simulations with an emphasis on the relative numerical accuracy of the two approaches. We will also present 2-D Eulerian results with a discussion of neutrino reheating rates in comparison with the gray models.
