New observations of the intensity and linear polarization at four radio wavelengths are presented of 94 sources from the 3CR catalogue. Sixty-three of the sources are high-luminosity "classical-doubles", and for these the observations provide the polarization of each component separately. By combining our measurements with published data, the maximum polarization and depolarization wavelength can be found for 85 sources and the rotation measure for 55. Values are estimated for the size and luminosity, and the magnetic field, thermal electron density and sound-speed in the components. The interpretation of these data will follow in a companion paper.
