Results are presented for observations of the giant radio galaxy 4C 39.04 at a frequency of 2695 MHz with a 5-km telescope and at frequencies of 408 and 1407 MHz with the One-Mile telescope. Contour maps at the three frequencies are provided, and a physical size of 1.9 Mpc is estimated for the previously reported redshift of 0.2107. Evidence for a variation of spectral index across the source is discussed. The overall spectrum of 4C 39.04 is found to be straight and steep from 38 to 10,600 MHz with a spectral index of 1.13, and the monochromatic luminosity at 178 MHz is estimated to be 1.5 x 10 to the 26th W/Hz per sec. A comparison of some of the physical properties of this and other giant radio galaxies shows that 4C 39.04 is the most luminous giant radio galaxy yet discovered and may be part of a cluster of galaxies. Possible sets of source parameters are considered.
