An international multifrequency monitoring campaign on SS 433 was held
in the spring of 1987. We present the results of multicolor photometry,
as well as photographic and photoelectric V-band measurements. The
broadband optical luminosity generally conformed to the predicted
(eclipsing) behavior, but on May 24 and 25 a strong flare was observed.
