Recently, the OGLE team has released the LMC Cepheid catalogs based on the OGLE-III observations. The V and I band period-luminosity (PL) relations were derived in Soszynski et al (2008) without applying any extinction corrections. We therefore apply an extinction map from Zaritsky et al (2004). We match the OGLE III Cepheids to the 2MASS point source catalog and apply random phase corrections to obtain JHK PL relations. Further we match the OGLE III Cepheids to the SAGE dataset from Spitzer IRAC observations. We took the averaged photoemtry from the SAGE Epoch 1 and 2 archival data. The resulting LMC PL relations in VIWJHK and the four IRAC bands are presented and tested for possible nonlinearities. Our results indicate that for the fundamental mode LMC Cepheids, the VIJH band PL relations are nonlinear but the WK and the four IRAC band PL relations are linear.
This work is based in part on archival data obtained with the Spitzer Space Telescope, which is operated by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology under a contract with NASA. Support for this work was provided by an award issued by JPL/Caltech.
