The dynamics of the main ionospheric trough (MIT) is analyzed on the basis of data of the Leningrad station. An attempt is made to correlate features observed in reflected signals on ionograms with the passage of the MIT above the station. It is shown that a careful analysis of ionograms makes it possible to reconstruct the 'wall' structure of the MIT below the F-layer maximum on the basis of data from a single ionospheric observatory.
