Spectrographic and electrographic observations of the radio source 3C 120 are reported. Readings in the V band of O III revealed a redshift around 517.2 nm, along with isophotes of the central region. A jet with four orientations corresponding to an emission in the continuum was found, noting radio emissions that coincide with the direction of the axis of a section of the jet. The length of the jet is 11 kpc and the O III comprises 27 percent of the emission. Finally, a model is presented of an elliptical galaxy, a jet, a nucleus, and an extended O III emission representing 6 percent of the galactic emission
