The early stages of the formation of Sun-like stars are characterized by a rich organic chemistry. The newly formed stars are, at the beginning, surrounded by envelopes of a few solar masses. The innermost regions of these envelopes are called hot corinos. They are warm and dense regions, enriched in complex organic molecules. The dimensions of the hot corinos are similar to those of the Solar System, namely less than 100 AU in radius. Although difficult to observe, hot corinos have been so far found in all young solar type protostars where they were searched for. In this contribution, I will review the known proprieties of the hot corinos and the questions on the mechanisms of formation and destruction of the observed complex organic molecules.
