The spectrum of envelopes of the semiannual and annual variations of the geomagnetic field is analyzed on the basis of three-component (Z, H, and D) recordings made at the Pleshchenitsy observatory (1960-1982) and the Voeikovo observatory (1948-1982). A correlation is established between the spectrum of modulating oscillations and the spectrum of the long-period part of the geomagnetic field and solar activity. It is shown that the annual and semiannual variations of the geomagnetic field are modulated by LF components, which include the 11-year variations as well as others. The spectrum of modulating oscillations is identical to the LF part of the spectrum of the geomagnetic field components themselves as well as to the spectrum of sunspot area.
