Image restoration from modulated intensities can be performed by directly solving the intensity modulation equation. This method of producing images does not rely on position-sensitive detectors. Computer simulation results for space low-energy gamma-ray imaging show that images with fine angular resolution within a wide field of view can be obtained by simple collimated devices.
