We compare earlier models for the relativistic precessing jets in SS 433 with optical and radio data, including new observations with the Very Large Array (VLA). The published models do not agree with the new data, and there are also disagreements between the Eikenberry et al. (2001) optical fit and the published models based on radio data (e.g., Hjellming & Johnson 1981). We attempt to reconcile the optical and radio data sets and address the question of the kinematic distance to SS433. The VLA is a facility of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory, which is operated by Associated Universities, Inc., under cooperative agreement with the National Science Foundation. This work was conducted as part of the NRAO Summer Student Program, with partial support from the National Science Foundation.
