The transport processes in a Constrained Vapor Bubble (CVB) under microgravity conditions, which is formed by underfilling an evacuated cavity with liquid, were investigated. This heat transfer device, which is controlled by interfacial forces, is capable of high thermal conductance. A coupled fluid flow and heat transfer model was developed and solved to yield the key parameters that govern the operation of the CVB. The effects of heat load, friction factor coefficient, bubble length, operating temperature, etc. on the operation of the CVB were investigated. An analytical expression of the maximum heat flow rate of the CVB as a function of various operating conditions was obtained. .
