A brief review of particle acceleration at inner heliospheric
interplanetary and coronal mass ejection (CME)-driven shocks is
presented. The discussion is presented in terms of a specific event that
was modeled using the Particle Acceleration and Transport in the
Heliosphere model (hereafter PATH) code.
