Disturbances of magnetic and electric fields in a weakly ionized barium plasma expanding in the ionosphere at a height of 200 km are investigated on the basis of a numerical solution of the two-fluid three-temperature MHD equations. The calculations cover the initial expansion phase up to the deceleration of the plasma clump in the ionosphere. The results are used to clarify the formation of a magnetic cavern and magnetic field intensification at the cavern's periphery, the generation of polarization and induced electric fields, and the generation of electric currents.
