The γ2 spectra of Cygnus X-1 from the BATSE earth occultation observations between 25 keV and 1.8 MeV has two components: a Comptonized part seen below 300 keV, and a high-energy tail in the 0.3-2 MeV range. The spectra was interpreted in terms of an interacting two-zone model, consisting of a high temperature core embedded in a corona with relatively lower temperature. In this study, we perform a comprehensive search in the 4-dimensional parameter space of the two-zone model. We give the estimation of the best fitting parameters of the model and their errors. The results are compared with the one-zone model, both analytical and numerical, traditionally used in spectral data fitting. It is found that the two-zone model yields significantly better fits to the observation, an indication that there exists a high-energy core in the cloud surrounding the black hole candidate.
