An analytic model useful in predicting attitude changes of a spin stabilized vehicle which arise from solar torques has been developed. The motivation behind such a development was the requirement to predict such effects for the DSCS II synchronous satellite. The validity of the model has been verified by a comparison of the actual attitude changes of this vehicle, as deduced from telemetry, with the predictions of the theory.
