Determination of atmospheric parameters of G and K stars was carried out by using on the one hand Peytremann atmospheric models, and on the other hand, the recent models described by Gustafsson et al., (1975), referred to as GBEN models, which take into account in a realistic way molecular blanketing. In general, it is found that atmospheric parameters deduced from scaled Peytremann models fit nicely those deduced from models scaled from GBEN models. Some departures from this fit occur with combinations of the lowest gravities, coolest temperatures, and high metal deficiencies. One dominant source of these departures is an overestimation of the convection effect on T(tau) laws by scaling Peytremann laws rather than their not taking into account molecular blanketing.
