The results of numerical model calculations for the evolution of accretion disks that may undergo both a disk and a mass transfer instability are presented. It is found that for intermediate amplitudes of the mass transfer burst and intermediate average mass transfer rates, a new type of outbursts occurs, namely mass transfer outbursts with an immediate precursor that is connected to the mass transfer bursts. It is proposed that this phenomenon may be closely related to the superoutbursts in dwarf novae of the SU UMa-type.
