Let $F$ be a field of characteristic $p>0$, and let $X$ be an integral affine
hypersurface over $F$. Using a recent result of A. Dolphin and D. Hoffmann, we
give an explicit description of the kernel of the restriction homomorphism on
Milnor's $K$-theory modulo p under the passage from $F$ to the function field
$F(X)$.
