Rotational, fine, and hyperfine structure constants are presently determined in a laboratory glow discharge for the mm and sub-mm spectrum of the deuterated ethynyl radical, and used for the accurate prediction of the frequencies of the unobserved components. Since the nuclear quadrupole coupling of the deuterium nucleus is much smaller than the magnetic hyperfine interaction, the D-quadrupole is only marginally determined.
