Some implications of observed parsec-scale jets in double radio galaxies
are considered. It is concluded that in all cases observed thus far, the
asymmetry reflects an intrinsic asymmetry on a parsec scale. If the jet
in Cyg A is pressure-confined, it must be surrounded by gas hotter than
50 million K.
