We present spectral line maps of the inner 2.25' x 1' (0.081 pc x 0.036 pc) region of the twisted, point-symmetric outflow driven by the recently discovered, low-luminosity Class 0 protostar, IRAS 16253-2429 in the Ophiuchus cloud core (d=125 pc). Maps were obtained with the Infrared Spectrometer on-board Spitzer Space Telescope in March of 2007, in its SL, or Short waveLength (5.2-14.7 micron), low-resolution (R = 64-128) module, and with Palomar's Wide-field Infrared Camera (WIRC) through a custom, narrowband 2.12 micron H2 filter, in Spring of 2006. In the mid-infrared, the outflow is detected only in the pure rotational molecular hydrogen transitions that fall within the instrumental bandpass, and is imaged in all of them: the 5.5 micron 0-0 S(7), 6.1 micron 0-0 S(6), 6.91 micron 0-0 S(5), 8.0 micron 0-0 S(4), 9.67 micron 0-0 S(3), and 12.27 micron 0-0 S(2) transitions, respectively. A sensitive new, previously unpublished 1-0 S(1) H2 line map encompassing the region imaged by the IRS is also presented. These maps will be used to derive the flow excitation temperature and ortho/para ratio as a function of position in the flow. Comparison with models of pulsed, precessing jets will follow.
