A solution is presented to calculate the values of the steady-state solar wind (SW) and the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) and related parameters at 1 AU. The inner boundary is given as 18 Rs which lies in the supersonic-flow region, and thereby simplifies the solution of the hydrodynamic equations and the supplementary variables. The results are presented graphically, and the 1D and 2D MHD computations suggest that only approximate values of the supplementary variables can be determined. The results are of use in the determination of steady-state SW and IMF at 1 AU for use in simulations of real events.
