Methods of the multidimensional analysis and neural-net classification of Cerenkov images are compared with particular reference to an analysis of telescope observations of the Crab nebula. The multidimensional analysis methods discussed include the row data, azwidth cut, wedge cut, and supercut techniques. It is shown that the reliability of gamma source determination can be further increased by using mathematical models of neural nets.
