Algorithms are presented for the calculation of theoretical monochromatic light curves of close binaries within the framework of the Roche model and the geometrically thick disk model. Assumed to be present in the system is an extended semi-transparent atmosphere expanding with a constant velocity. Allowance is made for rotational and tidal distortion of the components, limb darkening, gravitational darkening, and the reflection effect.
