Docking collisions in the form of impacts of two solids are treated as heat shocks with a certain equivalent mass against an obstacle. The behavior of shock absorbers during docking maneuver is studied of equations describing the deformation about the point of contact. The two-dimensional case with friction is analyzed. The computational procedure is demonstrated by numerical examples.
