Low-latitude (Tashkent) data obtained in magnetically quiet periods (Ap
not greater than 5) in the winter during 1971-1980 are analyzed. During
these periods, an increase in the mean diurnal variation of the H
component of the geomagnetic field with increasing geopotential at the
33-mbar level was observed.
