The geology of the zone of the Puchezh-Katunksk dislocations is described. Critical reviews on two recent hypotheses of their origin are presented. An hypothesis is prepared for the meteorite origin of the dislocation, whose zonal structure and morphology is reminiscent of the sloping crater of a surface explosion. A meteorite site's energy calculations are given and an estimate is made of the mass and dimensions of an asteroidal body whose explosion could produce the effect fixed in the dislocations. It is shown that the probability of a similar event is positive. The time of the event is determined from the stratigraphic data as the end of the Triassic to the beginning of the Jurassic.
