Meteors Streams, Comet Halley, Radar Observations
Scientific paper
The last return of the P/Halley comet was in 1986. In this review the results of the Kharkiv radar observations of the meteor streams associated with the P/Halley are discussed. Within the range of masses M ≥ 10-6g negligible increase in the quantities of meteor fluxes of Eta Aquarids in May and Orionids in October was observed in 1986. The presence of a number of fibers in the flux structure together with the predominance of larger particles in the central part is discovered. The paper presents the values of velocities, radiant coordinates and orbits parameters of these meteor streams obtained out of the observations in 1986 and in 1972-1978. Problems of structure and evolution of a complex of the P/Halley comet with its streams are discussed.
