This paper describes the medium-resolution spectra of a small sample of G, K and M stars in the near infrared region, obtained with the Reticon system at Cima Ekar Observatory. The resolution of 6 A permits a discussion of atomic and molecular features useful for spectra classification while preserving at the same time the information content of the continuum.
