Observations of linear polarization at 2.7 and 15 GHz and circular polarization at 2.7 GHz with the 5-km telescope are described for some compact radio sources; they are discussed, together with earlier measurements at 5 GHz using the same method, in relation to theories of the origin of circular polarization. There is evidence for possible short time-scale variations (˜1 month) in circular polarization for two of the sources.
