Stars: Chemically Peculiar, Magnetic Fields, Polarization
Scientific paper
Chemically peculiar stars of the upper main sequence are the most
popular targets for the detection and modelling of stellar magnetic
fields. In this paper we review the relevant observational and modelling
techniques. We also discuss which physical questions the observations
that are nowadays routinely carried out may help to address.
