Characteristics of hard X-ray spectrometers used on the Prognoz satellites are discussed. These instruments feature a sensitivity of up to 10 to the -7th erg/sq cm s in the range 20-100 keV, a time resolution of 60 ms, and a wide energy range (2-100 keV). Hard X-ray emission bursts recorded during the period from Oct. 24 to Nov. 15, 1977 are presented.
