The spectra of 6 dwarfs of the old open cluster M67 (age 4 or 5 billion years) have been obtained at the MMT in the region of the lithium doublet. In the two coolest stars (solar type stars), the lithium line is not detected. In the four hotter dwarfs, the lithium line is measurable. The lithium abundance is determined for these stars. The largest observed abundance is logN(Li) = 2.5 + or - 0.2 (in a scale where log N(H = 12). This is the lower limit of the Li abundance of M67. It is probable that lithium is depleted in the four dwarfs where the Li line is measured. The initial lithium abundance of M67 could be as high as the abundance of the Hyades.
