The quality of test data for a dynamic system is affected by many factors, including setup of the test facility, calibration of the instrumentation and data acquisition system, data sampling rate and period, and data processing technique. This paper discusses the sources of errors typically associated with the dynamic testing of Stirling convertors. Methods for minimizing and reporting errors to ensure accurate, repeatable, test results for tests preformed by single or multiple parties are also presented.
