Consideration is given to a block-circulant matrix formulation for the
ill-posed inverse problem of inferring the surface albedo distribution
of a distant rotting body from the measured light curve. The method
makes it possible to incorporate a variety of a priori constraints in
the estimation process. The procedures for the estimation are outlined.
