Modeling results are given on the three-dimensional structure of the polar F2-region at heights of 200-400 km and on variations of this structure with changes of the sign of the By component of the interplanetary magnetic field. Calculations are performed for periods of moderate magnetic disturances under maximum solar activitity. Results of calculations are compared with Alouette-satellite observations, and it is shown that the modeling resuslts are suitable for the interpretation of synchronous ground-based and satellite measurements.
