The gravitational field interior to condensed objects is able to trap neutrinos. If this phenomenon is consistent, it is argued that the trapped neutrinos can affect significantly the star interior; here we investigate this possibility in the case of massive neutrinos and find that they should contribute to the equation of state at the center of the star in the extreme phase of collapse before a black hole is formed.
