An exact solution of the flow of a viscous incompressible fluid past an
impulsively started infinite vertical plate in the presence of foreign
mass is presented under the condition of (1) variable plate temperature,
(2) constant heat flux. It is observed that an increase in the Schmidt
number leads to an increase in the skin-friction.
