Measurements made with the SP-1 instrument indicate that the mass spectrum of dust particles in the Comet Halley head increases with decreasing mass in the mass range from 10 to the -14th to 10 to the -16th g. The dust coma is made up of several shells with different characteristics, indicating the existence of different types of particles. The observation of a jet with mass dispersion is shown to be connected with the period and direction of nucleus rotation, and is used to obtain dispersion curves of particle velocity in the mass range of 10 to the -15th to 10 to the -10 th g. Dust particles with masses less than 10 to the -14th g have a density of 0.1-0.3 g/cu cm in the external coma, while in the internal coma they have a density of about 1 g/cu cm. Particles with masses less than 10 to the -12th g are predominantly particles of low density or complex structure.
