A generalized curvelinear coordinate system and the implicit factored scheme are used to calculate gas outflows from contact binary systems. It is pointed out that the generalized curvilinear coordinate system makes it possible to treat the complicated shape of the boundary of the binary system in a simple manner. The implicit factored scheme leads to larger integration time-steps than conventional explicit schemes and provides for the efficiency of the simulation. The flow field obtained exhibits the spiral pattern of ejected gas clouds which drift out through the outer Lagrangian points. These clouds, it is noted, escape from the system with angular momentum. An estimate of 1.65 + or - 0.1 is made for a specific angular momentum loss from the system; this is compatible with the value computed on the basis of restricted three-body problems.
