M. O. Stenius (1574 - 1644), known for his vehement opposition to
astrology, was professor of astronomy at Uppsala University between 1605
and 1644. In his disputation he expressly takes issue with the
astrologer and almanac compiler S. A. Forsius, who, at the command of
Charles IX, taught astrology at the University in 1609 - 1610.
